"From a storming to a performing team"
The Holden account was switching from a waterfall to an agile delivery. The team's structure was changed and many new processes and ways of working were implemented.
As a Senior Experience Designer and the team lead my role was to ease the transition and create the best possible environment for the team to thrive and deliver awesome work.
I quickly identified some pain points the team was going through:
• lack of communication
• unclear requirements and objectives
• unclear process to follow
• little documentation
I've implemented daily stand-ups and weekly workshare sessions and we've moved away from Sketch and started experimenting with Figma setting new documentation standards. I also started building libraries that the team could use to quickly build flows and screens.
This has greatly improved the team's efficiency and helped us work better with other disciplines.
I was involved in various projects that were key to the Holden business:
• Launch of a vehicle comparison tool
• New vehicles launches
• New Financial products
• Design System
We've ran A/B tests and experimentations using Google 360 but we've also built interactive prototypes to test with real customers.
Working in short sprints enabled us to constantly iterate and improve our solutions.
